This is a difficult question to answer... I might say yes, however if the men had known they might have been so curious and opened the bag anyway. However, not knowing what was ion the bag also made them very curious. But, the men most likely would not have opened the bag unless Poseidon had made that noise. I do not know what my answer would be.
I would have definitely told the men what was in the bag. This is because If they had known what was in the bag they would have known how powerful and dangerous it was and would have decided to not open.
I think that Ulysses should have told his men what inside the bag so that what happened would not have happened.
Wow! You guys both have posted great arguments.
In my opinion I would not have told anyone what was in the bag. If the men would have known what was in the bag and not known the full story they would probably have wanted to open it.
Yes,because then they wouldn't have opened the bag.
do you mean that they might open the bag. sense they know what is in the bag they probaly wannna still it from you then act alll intensent in they be like i didnt take anything all they had to do is ask!!!!!!
Yes I would ! I would tell them because they would probably want to see wants in side and so if they try to do anything they now they can't open it .
No because they might turn they back on you in then they might tell what is in the bag!
In my opinion I would have told my men what was in the bag because maybe it could have saved the wind because the way the crew is so greedy it's sad and it's sad because when they go on land they just kill people and steal gold from the wealthy itstead of getting food for them. It seems to me like they care more about money than about their lives.
because then they would have knowen what was in the bag and so they wouldn't have been so cazy.
I would have told the guys because if they knew what was in the bag then they would not have been curious and they wouldn't have opened the bag.
i would have not told the men what was in the bag because they should trust their captain and if they questioned me when I awoke I would have told them. then if they still don't trust me I would open the bag and the wind would send us back but the men would have learned their lesson by not trusting their leader
Yes I would have told my men what was in the bag, because if I didn't they would've gotten curious and opened it like they did in the book. In the book, after 9 days of not sleeping, Ulysses fell asleep. Poisiden, the god of the sea, comes by making a clinking noise. The men heard it while Ulysses was sleeping, and they thought it was gold. They were like "Why is Ulysses hiding gold from us and not sharing it? that's probably why he has been guarding it all day and night." so Ulysses men went up to where Ulysses was napping, and carefully opened the bag. What they didn't know was that the bag was full of three winds. The south wind, the north wind, and the east wind. All of the winds pushed them all the way back from where they started their voyage, in which they were trying to get home. Aoles, who lended them the bag of winds, said he wouldn't help them get home again. He trusted Ulysses and his men with this bag of winds (which Aoles told him not to open the bag under ANY circumstances) and well, they opened the bag.
To be honest, I wouldn't have told the crew. This is because they should have trusted the captain. He has gotten them through so much. When they invaded Troy, they all shared the gold. Ulysses could have taken it all, but he didn't. So, if their WAS gold in that bag, he could have been waiting until they arrived home to give it to them. Also, it really wasn't their business.
no because than if they become my enemy and I decide there not with me anymore they might try to take it and use it
